Summary
Spin a quarter and make people drink.
Equipment
1 Quarter
Drinks
Large table or floor space
Game Play
Everyone sits around a table with one quarter. The first person takes the quarter and stands it on its edge, holding it with their finger tip. With their other hand, they flick the quarter so it spins to the center of the table. Immediately after “spinning” the quarter, he/she calls the name of someone else sitting at the table. This person must then do one of two things:
- 1) Stop the quarter from spinning by placing their finger on the top of the coin making sure the coin doesn’t fall flat
- 2) Flick the quarter using his/her finger, so that it continues to spin; after which they call someone else’s name
Assigning Drinks:
- If the person who initially “spins” the quarter causes the quarter to spin off the table when they hit it, they must take a drink and pass the quarter to the next player.
- If the quarter stops spinning and lands flat before the “receiver” manages to stop or flick the quarter, then they must drink, and the original “spinner” gets to spin the quarter again.
- If a person attempts to stop the quarter from spinning and is unsuccessful (meaning the coin falls flat on its side) then he/she consumes 5 drinks.
- If a person successfully stops the quarter on its side, they get to assign a drink to the person who called their name AND pass out an additional drink to someone else. They also get to re-spin the quarter and call someone else’s name to continue game play.
