Game Play

All players gather around a table. Each player rolls a die to see who goes first, as the highest roll becomes Team Captain.  Team Captain then rolls both dice and the player to his right must beat that roll.  If they beat it, that person then becomes the new Team Captain. They MUST announce their new position (Team Captain) before picking up the dice. If they touch the dice without announcing it, other players are then allowed free range to yell it out and they steal the title of Team Captain.

In the event that a challenger does not beat the Team Captain’s roll, he must take sips for the difference between the total of his roll against the Team Captain’s total.  Example: Team Captain rolls 7, opponent rolls 4: opponent must take 3 drinks.

The Team Captain’s goal is to beat every players roll around the table. This is called a shut out. When this happens, each player besides the Team Captain must finish their entire drink. This rarely happens, so be proud if it does.  Maybe head over to Vegas immediately and play some craps!

  • Doubles Rule: If the Team Captain rolls doubles, the opponent must beat the total amount of the doubles or drink the total amount. Example: Team Captain rolls double 4’s, opponent must beat an 8 or drink 8 if they can’t. If challenger rolls higher doubles, they become Team Captain and previous Team Captain must drink that many.
  • Off-the-table Rule: If a challenger rolls one of their die off the table, they must first take a drink.  Then they can only use the remaining die as their challenging role. No re-rolls.  If this occurs to the Team Captain, he must still take a drink, but may pick up the die that fell off the table and re-roll. If either the challenger or Team Captain rolls both dice off the table, they take 2 drinks and pass the dice to the person to your right.  This person becomes the new Team Captain if the original Team Captain rolled both dice off the table.

Team Captain must roll each time against each opponent and must announce they are Team Captain before touching the dice.
